  • When will I be ready to start a civilian position?
  • What skills and talents would I like to use in my next career?
  • Should I use the skills acquired in the military, in my civilian career?
  • Where would I (and my family) like to live?
  • Should I consider further education?

A few additional reminders…When you are ready to go job hunting, make sure that you have:

  • Updated resume
  • Professional certificates
  • References -- try to obtain at least 3 professional sources
  • Letters of recommendation -- can be personal
  • School transcripts
